Reviewing for Anglican Path
A note for priests deciding whether to lend their name to an article — what a signature claims, what it asks of you, and how to take it back.
What your signature claims
When you sign an article, these words appear beside your name and the date:
Reviewed for doctrinal and liturgical accuracy at the time of review.
That is the whole claim. It is not an endorsement of every word in the article, of any other article, or of the site as a whole.
What we ask
- One article at a time. You choose which articles to review, and you may decline any of them.
- No deadlines. Take the time the article needs.
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to keep.
- Review however suits you — by email, in a Word document, as a PDF, or on paper. An optional web editor will be offered later; you will never need to use it.
Your signature covers one version
Your signature applies to the exact version you reviewed. If the article is later changed in what it says, your name comes off it until you have read and signed the new version. Fixing a typo or repairing a link does not count; anything that changes the substance does. When in doubt, we treat a change as substantive.
Nothing goes out under your name unseen
Before your signature is added to an article, you see the final version exactly as it will appear.
Withdrawing
One email or phone call is enough. Your signature is removed within 24 hours — no reason needed, no questions asked.
What you receive
- A profile page on this site with your name, your title, and a short biography you have approved.
- A link to your parish from that page and from the advisory panel.
- Credit on each article you review, beside the date you reviewed it.
